Vajrayogini Temple
Located in the northern region of Kathmandu District, between two cliffs of Manichud Hill, lies a temple where the goddess was enshrined. According to legend, Goddess Parvati manifested herself in stone form as Vajrayogini, being pleased by the austerities (meditation) of Lord Buddha.
At this temple, the goddess is worshipped according to both Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Devotees from the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding districts worship Vajrayogini as a Tantric goddess. Within the temple, one can find statues of Vajrayogini, Ugratara, and Simhabahini (lion-riding goddess).
